4th Georgetown Beavers Conquer Hole-In-Wall

It was a beautiful evening for an outdoor meeting and hike around Limehouse Conservation Area last Wednesday (April 26th).  4th Georgetown Colony B (with some assistance from 2nd Georgetown's Sunshine Scouter) were out and about enjoying the local trails, picking up litter, observing signs of beavers (real ones!) and learning about concepts of leave no trace and trail skills.

One of the more exciting parts of Limehouse is the hole-in-the-wall section. For those not familiar with the area - this where a couple of ladders lead you down into the fissures in the escarpment and can be quite daunting for small beavers.

Happily all our beavers (and parents for that matter) made it down and then back up later on with little to no assistance.  A quick stop at the old kiln and then we reversed our course and headed back to the parking lot.

Thanks to everyone for attending!
